Welcome to Drama with a Difference.

We offer a range of courses from our new central location at 161a Heidelberg Road, Northcote / Fairfield border which houses a theatre space and film studio where ALL students can perform and where screenings of their work will be seen. Classes are also offered in Camberwell and Eltham.

Drama with a Difference is one of Australia’s premier independent drama schools. With a 15-year history and a list of past students that includes many of Australia’s most successful actors, (see Students of Note), Drama with a Difference has an impeccable reputation as a training ground for actors of all ages. If you are serious about acting, you have come to the right place. Our teachers have the necessary hands-on experience to assist you. The school is contacted on a regular basis by casting directors and producers for film, theatre and television.

Of equal importance are our clients who attend to enhance their lives. Drama is good for everyone. In our fast changing world, learning the skills of an actor can place people from all walks of life at a greater advantage.

Drama classes give children and teenagers the confidence to speak in front of others, a fuller and richer imagination (something now required in many career paths) and a stronger self-esteem. We offer a supportive and nurturing environment where young people bond closely with one another and their teachers, all of whom share a genuine love and concern for young people.

Adults come for a variety of reasons – drama classes give you the edge in the workplace, where up-front presentation skills are becoming increasingly necessary. We offer you tools to increase personal charisma, assisting your professional and personal lives. Many adults come for fun! Drama classes are one of the best forms of stress release available, offering you a safe and nurturing environment where you will express yourself in ways you never thought possible.

At Drama with a Difference, your first class is free!* You can join in and check out the class that interests you at any stage during the term. After the free class, you must enrol if you wish to continue the class.
